I'm about to buy a NX70, but before I do I would like to find out which size memory stick has the best size/battery drain. I'm flipping between the 32 and the 64, but I'd like to know how much battery time I'd loose between the two. If anyone knows a site that compares them, or someone has experienced it on an older model, I'd appreciate any info.

:) To the best of my knowledge the size of you're memory stick won't have any effect on batery life. If you play MP3's all it means is that you will be able to play more tracks for a longer period of time [ due to the larger capacitiy ], where that will cause you're battery life to be shortened.

hope this helps.

ive heard that because of the larger size, it pulls more energy to fish through the data, and generally keep them in a readable state.

thanks, i went ahead and bought the 64 meg card, the price/size was were i liked it:D its chargin in its cradel as i write ^_^

If that's true it might effect my mp3 play back time, I just ordered my NX70V/UH. I couldn't resist that gun metal grey colour option, but of course it's on back order:mad: . They say it should ship Nov. 6th or so..:o Then it will soon be charging in it's cradle:) .

boy I hope that the ms does not affect batt life because I am looking forward to the 1 gig ms that are comming soon( something like 2003/2004). I would have more mp3's than I would know what do do with. And just think of maybe eventually having games like CounterStrike, Rainbow six, Command and Conqour on your hand held. Get a wirless modem and you can battle Nazi's in RTCW(reture to castle wolfenstein) while attempting to stay awake in class :D

Hey spoolin, do you play RTCW on the net, I play under the name FearlessFozz so maybe we have seen each other in a game or two. If not then just thank your lucky stars you havent seen me yet;) , LOL. it would be great though to put those type of games on there and they have already made a controler for it so it is possible!!!!!

I havent yet played online due to my slow old system, PII 400 with a dial-up ISP Yawn.
It barely runs good off line and I haven't made it priority (1) to get a new system yet. I could proably get a Dell system for the price I payed for my NX70v(GUNMETAL GREY) Clie.:D HA HA

On the subject of 3d action games, checkout IQ3d, and mt3d phoinix(try master thief). Iq3d was there first, but mt3d is really quite extraordinary, considering I get TOTALLY SMOOTH 3d play on my 20mhz IIIc. Opponents aren't exactly difficult, weapons are weak, but I highly recommend you take a look at it anyway. It's not so much a game, as a way to make people(well, nerds anyhow) starry-eyed at what their little box of magic can do. Hehe, I'm waiting VERY anxiously for that 512 ms...

hey there --

I just bought an NX-60 and am wondering if it will work with the purple memory stick. I didn't buy the magicgate one, but I will try to return this one if I have to.

Do any of you know the difference between the magicgate and non-magicgate sticks? Is it just copy protection, or are there speed differences as well?

thanks!
