I recently upgraded my N760C for this NX60 and i dunno if i made the right choice...

I guess i was really close to my old 760 with all it's hacks and customization cause i miss it all with this new thing. Jackflash/sprat doesn't work, my scuba diving log software doesn't work, OmniRemote has trouble with the processor, and i can't delete a lot of the software that comes standard in the flash... ClieViewer, PhotoEditor, ClieFiles, Clie Album.... yada yada yada
Oh yeah; and then there's the buttons Sony decided were not in a good spot... i miss my Calender, note pade, address book buttons being on the front. It saved a step when i was turning on my palm just to get an address.

There are a few neat things with it, though... the pull down silkscreen is great, and the polyphonic speaker is great (although the older 760 would wake me up easier 8-) You can't beat the screen resolution, and the processor screams. I'm waiting for GPS and wi-fi to come too... palm 5.0 will really shine there.

I guess it's just gonna take some time for third party companies to make compat. software... i shouldn't expect too much.

8-) Dave

Dave, I hear you about the missing hacks, one of the things I loved most about palm was the ability to make it run my way. I loved the fact that I could tweek it to my own needs...... I can not wait for the new Hacks to come along, but while you are waiting you might want to try YiShow, it gives a little of that back.

I know how you feel I had my N760 for over a year, now I have the NX70 and I still miss my n760. It just seemed to be the perfect size and everything, I do like my NX70 , but it will take some time. I hope I like it as well as my N760.

I just upgraded from my trusty N610 to a sparkling NX60 the other day. I loved my 610, but I can see HUGE advantages to this new machine (I didn't have sound before :) )

Since the 610 went to my wife, I can always revisit it whenever I feel lonely....although in a couple days she'll have it all reconfigured for herself.....sigh

I know I'm not going to miss my old pda... I have an NX-70v (gumetal !!!) on its way.. should be here Wednesday!!!

My old ride (well... still current until Wed.) is an original Palm III... it gets the job done but it's certainly not pretty!

I think the new Sony is gonna be a whole 'nother world!

Well, I had a 760C and upgraded to the NR-70V and then upgraded to the NX-70V. Love that Sony Store! LOL

I don't miss either one, and I have never regretted either upgrade for a second.

In fact, the speed of this one is amazing, and the camera quality quite an improvement. The voice recorder quality is better than expected and allows me to throw out old Sony unit with proprietary sound files. YAY!

I synchronize with Lotus Notes and use their data bases. Never had a problem. I don't know what you are hacking, but one of the downsides to hacking is the problems that they cause for upgrades. I have seen people hack their units to a point of inoperability. If you choose to hack you pay the price.

I'm too busy to waste my time. I buy quality goods with good software tools. I always look forward to upgrades, and improvements! Keep it pure, save the headaches!
