Last Friday Audible came out for the Tungeston, I hope a NX version is coming soon..................

I have tried using it - it's very buggy - requires a complicated series of syncing and re-syncing to get a file to your Palm - AND after multiple crashes I got a transfer rate which is unacceptable; took me >30 minutes to download a 5 MB, 40 minute short story. Once I got it on, works fine, good playback on the Audible Player, with the file sitting on my expansion card. I spoke to the folks at Audible and they had nothing to add except "It shouldn't be that slow". Has anyone had the same problem?

In cases anyone is interested, I finally spoke to some at Audible who acknowledged that there is an "issue" with transfers to the expansion card (the issue is, of course, that the transfer rate is no more than 2K/sec!). Transferring to the pda memory is ok, but since most audible files are 10 MB or more this makes the whole thing useless for now. They said they are working with Plam to fix the conduit...
