I am thinking to buy Sony NX70V but I am doing research about new coming PDA too. The new PDA from Dell is great (It is cheap and good value. It has 300Mhz with bigger memory RAM and ROM than NX70) and it will release really soon.

To compare with NX70, it came out 2 months already. Since the NR version was replaced in 10 months ? (Sony changed NR model to NX model so quickly. That is why, I am not so sure if I get NX70 and Sony will replace it in the next 6 months.) By the way, I just want to know that when is the new Clie will release again next year. Since Sony annouced that it will release new Memory Stick for 1 GB too.

One reason that I buy PDA, is I like to have a map store into my PDA. So, I can use the map all the time with my PDA. I am the person who is always driving around the town. Does Palm OS 5 support any programs that I can use to check my map ? I am sure that Pocket PC has one. The program releases by Microsoft.

I like NX70 because of its functions (MP3, Camera, Short Movie, and Movie on the go) but I can buy Dell Axim separate with a good digital camera, right ? I will have the same money that I have to pay on NX70 too.

I am thinking about the future too. There are many cell phone companies will release good smart phones in the next year. Many of them are likely NX70V (MP3, Camera, Short Movie, and Movie on the go).

Plz help me to decide .. I am waiting for your reply .. and your opinions ..

Thanks :D

Tonggino,
I just purchased the NX70 and I love it. I think the first step in making your decision would be to determine if you wanted Pocket PC OS or Palm OS, my personal favorite is Palm. I think both will give you good service and the Dell has a good price tag also. I love the camera features as well as all the movie features. I think if you decide which OS you like better should help make the decision. The road map to the Memory Stick up-coming storage units can be found at www.memorystick.org. I hope this helps. Good luck.

tonggino, I purchased a NX60 and I love it. I have a PocketPC at work (for work uses and it does me well there). Though I only use the PocketPC at work so that I can keep my todo list, calendar, email and contact lists with me. I personally love my Sony Clie NX-60 though. I have many programs that I have purcahsed for it, and I actually find it (PALM OS) easier to use than PocketPC. In replies to your memory statement. I feel that PocketPC's come from the factory with more memory only because they run windows, which we all know eats space. Want to put programs on your PocketPC, I'd make sure they don't take up all your memory space :D :D (that was kinda a pun, but then again, it could have truth too..heh).. anyway. They are both good platforms, and I have seen programs with maps for Palm OS like what your're talking about. Most any programs that you can buy for PocketPC are availabel for PALM, and visa versa. The last time I checked, I think Palm actually had the lead in the market, so it wouldn't surprise me if you could actually get more programs for the PalmOS than for PocketPC. It's going to end up being a personal call for yourself, which you prefer to use. PalmOS feels more freindly to me and easier to use. Also, those PocketPC's need fast processors.. they are running windows which is a "complex' OS, PalmOS doesn't require much to run well (My Handspring Visor Deluxe only had a 20 MHz processor and it switched apps perfectly and played games well). Go to the closest electronics store to you and use both, play with both, switch back and forth in the store until you get the feel for one of them.. once you get that "feel" you'll know which on is right for you.. it may take a couple trips to the store.
