Sorry I'm new to all of this, so I might be asking stupid questions because I'm not understanding what some of you guys are saying (not so good with the PDA terminology yet... CF slot, Wi-Fi, avantgo etc). I'm very excited about getting the NX60 though, but would like to find out some info before spending so much money.
1. If I do end up buying the $150 wireless connectivity card, will I have to pay a monthly fee for using the internet etc. Also, will I be able to access the internet anywhere (or just airports and starbucks and my home)? Will the card work in Europe (Paris, more specifically)?
2. I know one of the problems with NR70 was that it didn't work with the new PalmOS5. Will NX60 have the same problem with Palm OS6 or whatever they come out with next?
3. How do I download movies and ebooks onto a memory stick from my computer? Will I need lots of new (expensive) software (my computer is a Sony Vaio, but it's pretty old - about four or five years). Also, there is a thread that talks about lots of programs that crash while reading ebooks, is that common? Do you download ebooks from the web?
Thanks in advance for answering ;)

I can't answer all of your questions, but I can answer some. :)

1. I know nothing about the WiFi card. Would like to have answers to those questions myself.

2. Supposedly the NX series has flashable ROM, so the theory that I've heard is that it should be upgradeable to OS6 when it comes out. However, this is all rumor and I've read nothing definite.

3. Everything you will need to transfer movies, music, pictures and e-books will come with the NX-60. I've had problems with SonicStage, the MP3 program that comes with the NX-60, though. It doesn't let me transfer any media to my memory stick. First it tells me that my media doesn't support secure "check out" transfers, and when I try anyway it tells me it's full. This is when I own the CD's and have plenty of space on the stick Fortunately, I discovered I can just drag MP3's directly to the stick using the included program that turns your memory stick into a virtual disk drive. Just drop the file into the "MSAudio" folder and you're good to go. Pictures, movies and e-books all work flawlessly with the included software.

Some additional questions I have for the group:

4. Will the wireless communication slot ever be used for anything other than wireless internet cards? One thing I miss from my old Visor Prism is the GPS springboard. Seems this slot would be perfect for just such an accessory.

5. Any word on when the folding keyboard that worked with the NR series will get drivers to work with NX organizers? The thumb keyboard is OK, and more than OK when I have very limited space to type, but I would still like a portable full sized keyboard when I have the room to use one.
