I know that it is possible to switch on "Logging" with PsiWin so that a log file is created for the connection session, but I cannot for the life of me find the details - someone did post them in the newsgroups at one time. Does anyone here know how to do this?

It is not a generally known option and cannot be done with the standard user interface but there is a way of doing it.

In digging around the registry there are logging entries at HKLM\Software\Psion\Logging - but I do not know what the entries mean.

I do know that mine points to c:\windows\temp and that there is a file EPOCLOG.001 there - but the file is unreadable.

Also in HKCU\Software\Psion\PRC32\Server there is a blank entry for DebugLogFile - perhaps putting something here is what creates a synch log?

Sorry that I cannot be more help than that.... I tend to search around the registry whenever someone posts a question like that.

Thanks. From what I recall, it didn't involve playing about with the registry, but I could be wrong. A Google search did find a posting in the newsgroups referring to a previous thread telling how to do this, but I couldn't find the "previous thread"!

Found it!

Assuming PsiWin is installed in the default file path there is a file in -

C:\Program Files\Psion\Psiwin\Elogview.exe

Running this .exe file shows the log and there are settings which can be adjusted as required.
