Thanks for the link. i don't recognize any of those modem brand here, wondering if they would work for a north american clie.
Seems very complicated, can you just 'undo' it if it didn't work out?
Linksys makes a cf modem wcf12, but it only support window ce 3.0 pda.

It will work on english Clies's (or any really) and you can remove the files if you want. I would either get the ambicom modem or ask in that thread what has been tested before i bought anything.

CDW has a nice blue tooth adapter (USB) for your PC to get it to hot sync wirelessly (sans IR), etc. I cannot browse the internet yet though, as I need to load a PPP helper app. I don't want to buy one, but I will if I need to spend the bling to get my email direct. The bluetooth adapter I got is from Belkin (the F8T001). It has approx 100 meter range and neat little fold up antenna. I can't believe how fast it is..lol No more cradle sync for me. I might have to cradle though, if I want to use MS Export, but I'm sure everything will be cool. I'm a network admin dealing in everything, including wireless 802.xx , and I gotta tell ya, the blue tooth which I thought was garbage has proven me wrong. Now all of us at work can use the one hub to get around, as soon as I figure that mess out. I'm installing this in less than 30 mins., but I don't read the manual. Your installation time may vary...lol
Anyway, if you go bluetooth, you plug the usb adapter (via the cable on this model) and select WHICH com port you use. ALWAYS LOAD THE SOFTWARE BEFORE EVER PLUGGING IT INTO YOUR PC. AND REBOOT WHEN IT FINISHES. Since it is a serial connection, you can't do internet stuff until you load a PPP helper. But for connecting to others here and synchronizing, its pretty blazing. I love that I don't need to be line of sight with my laptop or that I CAN sync it with a work pc that has my profile on it..BLUETOOTH IS COMING!!!!
