my pda picks up a wifi signal fine and work everytime i change the channel on my router. but then i turn the thing off and back on again and the wireless light comes on and everything i got to my wifi setting and see there is signal strength and i m connected to my router but the only problem is that it does not show the right ip address under the <info> tab. not even in the range of address that my router assigns. Is there a way to refresh you ip address on these things or another trick that i do not know about yet? Please help.
Thanks

The solution I've found to this problem is to turn off the WEP password on the router.
It seems silly, but it's the only thing that worked for me.

Try downloading a piece of software call PocketLAN from handango.com. It will allow you to do an IPCONFIG RELEASE / RENEW at will. It's very handy! You can also use it to map network drives.

Thanks for all the help guys. Pocketlan helped and i have solved the problem. I returned the damn thing cuz everytime someone is on our 2.4ghz phone the wireless doesnt work. I believe it doesnt have freq hopping. But i might buy it back cuz its so cool.

Turning WEP off was the solution I'd come up with too
I'll try this PocketLAN thing when I get a chance next week(I'm only around the wireless router two times a week).
