Have you tried to do a hard reset yet?. This will wipe out your memory and change it to like it was when you first bought it (If you haven't used any programs that change the ROM). To do a hard reset first push and hold the power button and then push the reset button while still holding down the power button. Continue holding down the power button til the plam logo shows on the screen then release the power button. Next it will ask if you want to erase all the data, up for yes, down for no. After Completeing a hard reset you can resync your pda to get your data back. If it continues to happen you may need to remove the golf program your trying to install from the sync list until your PDA gets up and running again. Let me know if ya need instructuons on that. Hope this helps you out some.

You need to clean out the backup files from your PC. If you don't, it will sync everything back to the way it was(including the problem). Program Files>Sony Handheld>username>Backup is where the culprit will be located. You can try removing the ZioGolf.prc and then syncing to see if it works. That way, you won't have to reinstall ALL of your programs.

Unless ZioSoft has released a new version recently ZioGolf is documented to not be supported in PDAs with OS 5.
When I installed it and tried to run it, it crashed my NX70V also. All I had to do was a soft reset and remove ZioGolf and then the CLIE was fine. I did not have to do a hard reset.
