There are others, but I like Facer a lot. Dragon27 07-26-2003, 05:50 PM i have filez and today, can you do it on them? ALMS 07-26-2003, 11:56 PM I use Facer just for the Today page and make my own skin for it, then hit the Home icon and goes to YiShow. Tried ZLauncher but didn't really like it. And Today v1.8 has problems on my Z71. Really ran into problems when I wanted more than one background image in the skin section. Has anyone tried the new Silver Screen V3.0? Looks nice. Dragon27, what Today do you have? I've noticed there are two out there that have the same name but look completely different. Pride Of Lions 07-27-2003, 12:55 AM I have SilverScreen and the newest version supports background images. I love this addition. It changes the whole complexion of the handheld. I know it's pricey, but it is worth it in my book. v.3 works for me! POL9A Dragon27 07-27-2003, 11:44 AM i have version 1.8, i might try some of these other apps you suggest, im new to all this y'see... ALMS 07-27-2003, 01:32 PM I just tried Silver Screen V3.0. For os5 this program is just to large for a launcher. It's 1.1Megs when you include the database for hi-rez. I tried to run the database off the card but it wouldn't work. It can however use the images in YiShow wallpaper folder for backgrounds. That was nice. The ticker option was useful if you don't have a Today page. YiShow still seems to be the better choise IMO. I like the lay out and small file size. It's size is 450k including the 200k database file it creates for the background. And it's all hi-rez. Even ZLauncher was smaller than SS3. I run YiShow and Facer, both come in at a smaller size than SS3. I just have a lot of programs that have to be in ram, so with only 14Megs usable ram I have to watch what I use. Dragon27 07-27-2003, 02:27 PM i have just downloaded facer, its exactly what i needed, though i may well try yishow, see which i prefer. thanks for your help guys. Dragon27 07-27-2003, 02:44 PM incidentally, does anyone know the shareware restrictions on facer? is it a time thing or locked features etc. ? ALMS 07-27-2003, 02:58 PM I forgot what the restrictions are for Facer. I know you can use YiShow for 30 days with no restrictions. Go to www.cliesource.com for some Themes for Facer and you can get some backgrounds there for YiShow. There's also www.clieskins.com . Cutefox 07-28-2003, 06:27 PM well ther's always uninstall.... ^^ but paying da developer is a well off contribution... they'll be encourage to make more software...^^ PDA Street
