If I put the Palm Emulator on a laptop, can it access the IR port to turn the laptop into a large Palm device? The reason I'm wondering this is because due to my wife's disability, she can't work a regular remote control for the TV and VCRs. I was thinking maybe I could install the emulator on her laptop, install OmniRemote on it and she could use it to change channels and play video tapes when I'm not home.
This brings me to another problem I'm having. Is it possible to get the emulator and my m130 to play nice and create a ROM so the emulator can emulate the m130? I've tried it through the IR port on the laptop at different speeds and I've also tried it with the cradle at different speeds and different COM ports, but since it's a USB cradle, I don't know if it would be considered a COM port. I followed all the instructions up to the point where the m130 and emulator decided to quit talking to each other.
I don't know if there are other emulators out there, but I'm talking about the one from Palm.com.
