Has anybody gotten any notices from Amazon?

I ordered mine from Amazon June 22nd. Aside from removing the "not yet available" note, nothing has changed in my "my account dialog". My estimated receipt date is still July 18th.

I know I'm probably way down on the list of orders placed but I can't deal with not hearing anything from Amazon, especially since I just went thru a lengthy delay battle with Dell computers.

For what it's worth, I ordered mine from Amazon on April 10 and still no word. Originally the availiabity was changed from July 15 to July 30. Checked today and said ships in 2 to 3 days. However, still haven't heard from Amazon that they have shipped my Garmin. I hope it won't be delayed any further. With luck, I should be getting an e-mail from Amazon sometime today that the Garmin was shipped. But then, that's what I thought would happen on July 15 (originally and still, my delivery date was suppose to be July 8)

We just took delivery of ours today, we have 6 and they are all sold. We have 18 more on order for people who have already ordered them so give it a few more days. It is tough not even opening the box to see one!:p

Not from Amazon, but I would think they are just getting theirs as well, ours just got off the truck so if you ordered back a couple of months, it should'nt be long! Also Amazon probably ordered a few hundred more than we did so even better for you!;)

I just got shipping confirmation for the iQue I ordered from Amazon on May 17. UPS shows it is already on its way from Atlanta. I can't wait! :D

I sold my eTrex Vista several months ago in anticipation of getting the iQue. Based on my experience with previous Garmin products I think this will be an excellent unit.

I am thinking of ordering from amazon, as a backup. I am SURE they will get priority supply. Garmin would certainly try to take care of their "whale" customers more than their "little fish."

I ordered mine from Adventure GPS. They have always been responsive to my emails, but I don't even know if they have received their first units yet! They told me Mine would probably come in the middle of August. (I ordered in June)

More than likely, since I leave for vacation on Aug 14th, it will be delivered on the 15th LOL.

I called Adventure GPS yesterday and I was told they have received 20 units since Garmin started shipping...I'm number 26 on the list, I was told I should be getting mine in the next shipment which is sometime between today and early next week. Call them and verify and find out what your place is on the list...

Has anyone received a unit from Amazon and if so, when did you place your order?

Someone posted here last week that their unit was en-route having pre-ordered May 17th. I pre-ordered April 22nd and have been back and forth with Amazon now 4 times asking them how someone who ordered after me could be getting theires before me.

These Indian sub-contracted people have little grasp of real english and even after repeated replies on the same thread can not seem to grasp the question, replying only "we don't have enough to go around." and of course giving me a shipping upgrade. My question is simply where am I in the queue and why are people supposedly behind me getting serviced first?

I placed my order with Amazon on May 27 and also have been back and forth with them several times. I have NOT had confirmation that mine has yet shipped but have heard several people saying they have had shipping confirmation when ordering after I did. I would like to hear if anyone that ordered from Amazon has actually got a unit, and if so when did they place their order.

I ordered June 22nd. My Amazon account page now says shipping estimate Aug 4th, delivery estimate Aug 6th.

This was a recent change from the previous status page that had me receiving it July 18th.

Oh well, I'm not going to celebrate until I have a tracking number.

BTW, did anyone get any sound from those quicktime videos on the GPS city site?

Got the full audio and video although most of the audio was an advertisement for GPS City.

I just got a phone call from Amazon.com??? The customer service person on the phone said they were calling to give me information on the status of my order. Here is what I learned. First she said that Amazon has not yet shipped any units to people that have ordered them, although she did say that it looked like they had 'a couple' in stock but she was not sure why those had not shipped. She then told me that the estimated ship date for my order (placed May 27th 2003) was between the 12th and the 19th of August depending on when they got the product from the supplier. She also said that the accessory kit and the auto kit will not be released from the supplier until the end of August so it will be early September before I see those. She ended the converstation by saying she was sorry that they had not seen the demand for this product coming and they upgraded my shipping to overnight at no cost. Is there anyone out there that ordered from Amazon that has a unit? I would like to know if what she told me about them not shipping any is correct. Looking forward to the 12th to the 19th :)

I have gotten nothing but the run-around from Amazon. Evertime I call for a status I get at least 3 different responses. The information on the "my account" page is never updated or accurate!

I just received my phone call from Amazon customer service (at my request after 5 e-mails about this order)...

I am frustrated, but a bit more enlightened...

First, I apoloigize for claiming that Amazon would have these no later than and in at least as great a quantities as small vendors, I am obviously quite wrong in that. All you TVNav customers are correct...

So here's what I was told - changing my order from "free shipping" to "second day" in an attempt to get the unit quicker, pushed me to the back of the queue. I have since been moved back to my proper place in line.

According to this rep, there are approximately a hundred orders in front of mine (April 22nd) and they have no units in stock and none expected (there are 'expected units, just don't know when or in what quantities). Of course she then stated that my order was due to be filled August 4th (today) and I asked her if she thought that would really happen... :-(

I told her that my, and the many Amazon customers on-line, were most frustrated due to the lack of communication on their part. They randomly update the ship date and the e-mail responses are almost worthless in that they never answer our stated question.

She implied that no one in front of me got units, but didn't stick to that when pressed. She said there are many people in the queue who ordered in January.

All that said, I'm continuing to track down additional sources. Sadly, had I ordered from TVNav on April 22nd, as I did from Amazon, I am sure I would already have my unit in hand.

You may want to check out the iQue Availability thread if you want to get your iQue sooner.

No you would not have it yet from TVNav. I ordered in January and am told I will get mine this week sometime. They are sending more out now and in bigger quantities so lets hope everyone that wants one will have them by the end of the month. It's been a long wait and I have read the manual now twice from front to back so that should help when it does arrive. HA

Have hope, thou faint of heart. By tomorrow, I will have shipped out 75 units, so your dealers should also start getting product soon. So Garmin is starting to ship more units to those vendors who ordered early enough. We should complete orders from April, May and most of June. After tomorrow, we still will have plenty of pre-orders left to fill, but we are working our way thru our list.

Just got off the phone with Darrel from TVNAV. He told me that he will be getting 150 units by the before of this week! I ordered on June 27th, and said that my order will go out on or before friday. Just to let you know you will be getting them soon, and can't wait to get mine! I should get it next monday or tuesday.

Because my order of *ast week* with SelectZone.com arrived at 10:00 this morning!!!

It's charging, thanks for the warnings to be careful with the cradle - gotta go do some stuff, should be ready to play with when I get back!
