Display of Contacts

My Contacts display the name, followed usually by the phone number.

Sometimes an e-mail address appears instead of the phone number. Sometimes I would rather a different phone number was displayed.

How can I change the info which is displayed?

I have a Palm Vx.

If you open a name for editing and click on the "details" you will find that you can pick the phone number you want displayed, the category & if you want that person's name to be only in the personal contacts that others cannot see if you hide them.

As far as I can see it will be on a one by one change. I looked and did not see a way to change them, all at once, but maybe someone else will give you an idea.

I believe that if you go in a select all of your records, and then repeat the process that has been outlined above, you can reset all records to one type for display, i.e., all would be set to HOME, or FAX, or whichever of the options you select.

I know that you can get to this screen by doing this; however, I did not try it because mine are all tailored the way I want them, and I didn't want to implement a mass changeover. Therefore, this MIGHT work.

I did Select All and then went to a random contact and selected the display I want.

Only the selected record changed.
