I use NiMh (Nickel Metalhydride) rechargebles. The 1st charge will die within hours, so you have to 'condition' them by charging and depleting atleast once. Thus far, I have used them for months and keep 2 in the charger, 2 in the Palm. Works fine.

I use NiMH rechargeables also. Get them at Radio Shack. They're the green ones. Cost with charger is $23 for 4 batteries but it's worth it. I have been using the same 4 - I get about 2 weeks out of one set - for almost 2 years now
