Any tricks to using two PDA's with one desktop? I'm anxiously awaiting my Ique ("already shipped from Amazon") and was wondering if I can keep my Palm Vx info current after I make the switch to the Ique.

I ordered on May 27th and still have not had it shipped. gfunkmagic 08-01-2003, 03:34 PM Originally posted by Chilao Any tricks to using two PDA's with one desktop? If you want to just sync both address books, notepads etc, then you could use an app like SyncUS (http://www.palmgear.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=software.showsoftware&sid=0D489F0C-1859-4448-911A146B1C09672E&prodID=44684). Chilao 08-01-2003, 04:13 PM To the first reply: I placed my order on July15th. As to clarify my first question; I'd like to have the same calender, address book, etc. on two PDA's David_a_Trekie 08-27-2003, 03:46 PM This seems to work. Just so happens the Garmin uses the USB port and the HandEra uses the Serial port. I simply select the HotSync USB (setup) only when syning the Garmin and if I'm synchronizing the HandEra, I simply uncheck the USB and select the serial connection. Of course, I delete the 'backup' and 'install' if they have things specific to either PDA so as not to conflict (I have deleted the Advantgo from the HandEra because I don't think it is compatible with the OS5 version needed for the Garmin). rluxemburg 08-27-2003, 08:32 PM I have occasion to sync as many as 4 different PalmOS PDAs to my desktop. I use Pocket Mirror Professional & MS Outlook (as well as a USB hub) and it all works pretty well. Robertp366 09-06-2003, 06:26 AM Just give each PDA a different user name. In Palm Desktop, use "add user" to create all the usernames. They will merrily sync without conflict. I have a mix of Palm Vx, Handspring Prism, and iQue. The Handspring doesn't work with the iQue HotSync app (version 3.1.2H vs 4.0.4.0), so I set it to launch manually (rather than automatically when PalmDesktop opens). Then launch each hot sync from programs file with desktop open and awaaaaaay you go. Palm Vx and Handspring use the USB HotSync, and iQue uses serial, all under Virttual PC on Mac OSX. And I seperately have Palm Desktop on the OSX side and the Palm and Handspring happily use that one. Haven't tried iQue on the OSX side yet, but just found the app to help this....."PD USB Update for iQue.dmg-link" on another thread in this forum. Verrrry Interesting!!!! PDA Street
