Help! I purchased an e740 which I would like to integrate with our institution's wireless system. Our IT Department says our institution only supports the "Cisco Aironet 350 series Wireless adapter" and that they use "Dynamic WEP Keys with LEAP." I have contacted Toshiba to verify if my e740 wireless integration will work with my institution's system, but so far no response. Can anyone help here confirm the two are compatible? (I don't want to open the e740 package to test because Best Buy will charge me a $90 restocking fee if it doesn't work. Any help will be appreciated!

My esteemed colleague at 802.11-Planet.com took the time to research this for you a bit and this is his best estimation of the answer to your question:
"Using LEAP means using a RADIUS server probably with 802.1x. The big players in 802.1x, namely Funk Software and Meetinghouse.com don't have Win CE/Pocket PC clients at all. There's talk of native support for it coming in CE .NET, whenever that'll come out, but for now it appears that 802.1x authentication is not an option for Pocket PCs."
I would suggest maybe that you talk to the folks at the companies he mentions if you have more questions. Perhaps they can give you more insight, or help you decide if you should even keep the product.
Hope this helps.
