JUNIOR MEMBER?!? What's up with that?

I distinctly remember during the registration process being asked whether my birthdate was before or after a certain date, clearly meant to identify those who might be underage and needing some kind of screening from "adult language" or content.

So how did I become a "JUNIOR MEMBER"? And yet, I am not alone! Every user post that I have seen, other than a moderator's post, has had that title below the screen name.

Congratulations PDA Street! You did it again!

Oh, and thanks for the notification in my e-mail today that you were changing the format, no mention of shutting off access to archives of previous posts!

I'd call that "A day late (well, nearly a week!) and a dollar short."

probably "Junior Member" doesn't mean your age. It could mean that you've just signed up and you're still a newbie in this new board. I'm guessing probably if you post more often, and that you reach to a certain date after your sign-up date, then you could become something like a "Senior member" (meaning that you have mroe expierence on this baord and with helping others..i guess..).

These are just my thoughts...

Cheers,

It seems odd that just about everyone, except the Moderators and the Editor, are now Junior Members!

My guess is that somewhere, the software is wired backwards! I wonder what happens if you try to register as a very young person, i.e. answering the birthdate question the other way.

Similar format on Visor Central immediately gave me "Member" status. I don't think that I saw any "Junior Members" there!

Sounds like a glitch to me, albeit a trivial one.

seems like my guess was correct.

I just got a notice from the editor-in-chief of internet.com saying that by the end of the day, they should be adding our old post counts to our new post count. They've just got the list and are starting to
implement.

Check out Dr.Mud's (just a person that I randomly picked) profile and you'll see his status is "Senior Member". He has over 400 posts. I think you are a senior member also when pdastreet has your posting records uploaded to the new board.

Cheer,

Prismer,

I've updated the number of posts for you to reflect the total number you posted on the old and new forums. This should change your membership status.

Cool!

I guess when the format changed then anyone who had to re-register became a Junior Member.

Thanks for the update.

I use to be a junior, but I changed that to the "second" after my father passed away. Anyway, I'm a big boy and I ain't a junior at anything! If they don't get that straitened out in a big hurry, I'll have to SIT on 'em!!!

I've been posting for months, now I am a Junior Member again!!

How can my old info be attached to my new registration info? I was registered under JohnKes before.
