cingular wireless

Can anyone tell me how I can use a cingular data enabled phone (Nokia 3360) to access my email? I have subscribed to cingular wireless internet, and have downloaded mutlimail SE and thinair for my palm m505. My normal ISP is RCN. I have tried to dial up my RCN access number using multimail and thinair, but get the message "no carrier". Do I need any additional software? Thanks in advance.
