Does anyone know if AIM works when the pocket pc is in your pocket asleep? Can I stay logged in and have it beep later when I'm not so busy?

I'm a palm user considering switching

I do not see it working for when computers are in sleep mode, technically they are not to do any processing: hence receiving IM's.

On my Pocket PC, when the unit is switched off then the WiFi connection is switched off. So, with my Pocket PC and my WiFi card, no, it will not alert you to messages when the unit is turned off.
