Help: IIIC + M'Safe + JKS FlashCMDMS 1.54r1

Have a IIIC on OS 3.5.3 + 2 M'Safe MSM08 (one for backup and one for books/pics)

Installed the following:
- FlashCMDMS 1.54r1 suite
- FPDoc
- FPRun and the PlugLib from FPRun
- MS Backup

Uninstalled
- M'Safe 1.6
- M'Safe Flash 1.6 (since not recommended to mix M'Safe and FP app ???)

Disabled password (accordingly to 07-02 note on FPRun, Pluglib doesnt work with password option on).

Backup and Restore with MSBackup worked with no problem.
Move doc and app between RAM and PLUG no problem.

However, FPDoc and FPRun error with msg "No Flashplug Present" with M'safe properly attached. FlashCmdMS also list app and doc in PLUG.

Please Help:
- How to get FPDoc to read doc saved in plug (m'safe)? Is it possible to have peanut reader read foc off m'safe?
- How to get FPRun to errr... Run?
- Is it possible to have each palm pix listed individually in m'safe like docs? (maybe wishful thinking.... but no harm trying
;)
- Please recommend good Flash Rom utility at cheap price to write FlashCMDMS to ROM for backup after hard set and if hackmaster utility is required?

Appreciate also any other advise to maximise IIIC with M'Safe.

It is a good habit to do a soft rest after removing the types of apps you deleted. Start there to regain your connection.

Unless things have improved regarding the use of MemorySafe you will not be able to read a book while it is still on the card. You can do that with the newer palm devices that support VFS but not your memory safe.

Your PalmPix will only list as a DB.

Best FlashRom utility for the IIIc is FlashPro from HandEra.com.

Sorry abt the long post, was trying to give the whole history so that an accurate diagnosis can be done.

Thanks for the prescription of doing soft reset, I really should remember doing that when playing with install/delete app.

errrr... unfortunately it didnt work this time. *sniff* Any other ideas?

The 21k Pluglib from FPRun works in getting FPDoc search and read docs in M'Safe!

Strangely FPRun still doesnt work. It does a search, and then blank (no listing, no error msg, no further action) even tho there are apps in M'Safe (confirmed in FlashCmdMS)

Any advice appreciated!

if you have partitioned your memory safe the applications must be in the first Partition you made for them to show up and be useable. try that!

Did not partition M'safe 1st time round, so its 1 big partition. FPRun didn't work.

Deleted all files on M'safe and partitioned into 2. Saved apps in Partition 1. FPRun searches both partition 1 & 2 but again shows no app for use. :(

Aaack. well, on the brightside, at least backup, fpdoc works.
