It is with deep regret that I have had to put me 7book up for sale on eBay - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2745943392&category=14405 - this is not a plug sorry.
Anyway I have had this guy come up with the following comments;
"As a Netbook owner looking for a second one for my parter, this looks a right pigs ear, no wonder no one has bid on it!!
I'll give you £20 quid, as I can use it for spares."
then after I resubmitted it he come up with...
"Still not sold it then?
I'll give you £5.00 for it!
"To Tell the truth", its about time you learnt these things are best free of DiY upgrades, as your description of what you have done with the Psion sounds real bad and as such an unattractive proposition."
and now this...
"I own 7 Netbooks that I utilise within my company every day for a variety of tasks.
I just feel sorry for the poor unwitting person that bids on your bodged up Series 7, which for your information were never designed to be upgraded, particularly by amature DIY bodgers like yourself, who seem to know little of the product. For example, in your item description you state the Netbook is 'Rare' , which it certainly is not, as they can be ordered from any good Enterprise Computer Supplier and companies such as Expansys for delivery within a few days and Swiss Rail has just ordered 4000 of them (see press releases on the Psion website). Also, the concept of a 'Motherboard' in a Netbook is a complete misnomer, as they don't operate like a PC and are a single integrated solid state unit. To replace this unit regardless of configuration is to replace the whole thing excepting case. If such a unit is replaced along with the 'small chip', this would indicate serious material damage at some point. What's more, PSTN, ISDN, Microdrive, etc, compatibility is a feature of PC Card interface protocols rather than the Psion.
Get a life and do your homework....."
What do you guys think?
If anyone want to give him their opinion his email is chriscollins@clara.co.uk but be gentle with him as he owns 7 netBooks so must know what he's talking about.
I have just pointed out to him that I have made his opinions public and these were his comments...
"Rest assured I will reciprocate the posting of your email address on to crap newsgroups should I get any unsolicited opinions and as an email address I only use for eBay purposes, it can soon be suspended.
As for Expansys, we agree! Just a marketing outfit, which like you should not be taken too seriously.
Any further mailings from you or those you seem to think will be as stupid as you in wanting to send their opinions will get the following message.
Good bye, continue with your sad little life.."
Anyway if anybody really does want to get to him his eBay user id is mychloedog so you can reach him that way.
