While browsing through the accessories for the iQue 3600, I noticed that it supports a serial interface. Does anybody know if the iQue can be used as a serial GPS device? That is, could I attach it to a laptop and use it in conjunction with GPS mapping software (such as Streets and Trips or StreetFinder)?

Not out of the box,
but maybe it's possible to write a program that translates the GPS-signal to NMEA protocol and feed it to the serial port.

You must get a cradle with the RS232 connection. It then acts like a Palm with serial. You could sync with serial, but it could be a long night if you load maps.
