Does anyone know how to create the ^ symbol on an NX73 (80 in US) it just doesn't appear anywhere and I need it to create a login script for Compuserve!?

Poking around in my NX70 (not the same model as yours of course), I found the ^ symbol by clicking the small keyboard icon at the lower right of the virtuall graffiti area. This displays a fairly conventional looking QWERTY keyboard. But there are two other keyboards available. The "Sym" keyboard on my Clie had the ^ character that you need.

But this is no guarantee that other models will have the same special character.

Then, using the desktop application, I created a memo containing some of the same special characters. After a HotSync, I could cut and paste the special characters into other applications.

Again, since these special characters do exist on my Clie model, this method may not work on other models that do not have these characters.

Good Luck!

Thanks for that. The symbol definately doesn't appear on the Graffiti SYM keyboard but I'll try the desktop cut and paste route and see if that works! It seems like a striking omission on the part of Sony!

My NX80V has a Gaffiti 2 "^" character. It's on punctuation page two. The Graffitti keyboard has one on symbol page too.

Can any of you tell me if the NX80V has accented letters (é,è,à,...). I write in french most of the time and I am interested in purchasing a NX. I own an old HandEra330 which was bought in the US and it supports accents; I would be surprised to learn that the NX80V doesn't:confused:

Yes the NX80 has many accented characters in Graffiti 2 and in the Graffiti International Keyboard set.
