When I ordered my iQue I did so hoping to use it to measure and track my walks (I'm in training for a 60-miler) in addition to the typical car navigation.
Reading some of the first reactions to battery life I was a bit concerned. My typical walks last from 1 to 6 hours.
Well, I just got back from a short walk (just under 1 hour) and I am pleased to report that I think this is going to work for me! :)
I had the back light turned off, the GPS in battery saver, and the auto off set to 30 seconds. The total time of the walk is listed on the trip screen as 48:46 minutes and I had the unit on for maybe 5 to 10 minutes aquiring the signal and playing with the settings before resetting the trip screen so it was on for about an hour. I turned it on a number of times (maybe 6 to 8) during the walk to see how it was doing. When I got back and checked the battery meter it was still showing full!
Obviously, I need to do some longer walks and test it further but this is very encouraging! I'll report back with more results later.
