I got my girlfriend an Axium for Christmas. I have an Ipaq, so I'm not sure exactly if I'm correct on my assumption. She has not used her pda for a few months. We charged it up, but the next day it was totally dead again. It lost all of her previous info. So I checked and the backup battery was dead. I replaced that, charged it up again, but a day later the backup is dead again. Is the problem the main battery? Is it dead since she hasn't used or charged her pda in a while? I just wanted to make sure before I shell out money for a new one. Thanks!

It should still be under warranty, call Dell, tell them the situation and ask them to send you a replacement main battery or a brand new unit. One advice when dealing with technical support, it is frustrating at time, you need to allow plenty of time and the trick is if you don't like what the tech support guy is telling you, just say thank you and hang up and redial, you'll get a reasonable guy eventually.
