Are there any 4-port USB pocket hubs that I can connect to a pocket pc to add extra drives to it? I am curious about this because I am looking to buy a new pocket pc, and I would like to be able to expand its memory capabilities much more and give it a CD rewritable drive to load programs directly to the pc without using a desktop.

Well you would need a computer to access the sites to download the apps to be installed. So trying your idea (if at all possible) would just add one or more extra steps. So since you are already using the computer to access these apps then from there just connect the device to it and load it to the pocket PC. As far as memory expansion, you can buy a CF from IBM that can hold 1gig of data.

One thing I did not consider till now; if you have your PPC connect to the internet, I would think you can download and load apps that way. Has anyone tried that?

Thank you for your reply. I was wondering if you know which website has these programs.

You have to be more specific. If you read this forum and many of the posts, and especially Answerdude replies, you will notice there are tons of sites offering free and non-free software. Do you want games, utilities, etc.

Well, I'll check out some of these past posts, but I really just want to know some of the websites that have drivers for this particular kind of hub and other USB devices like CD rewritable drives, and maybe even 80 gig. external drives. I know I am being a little vague, but I think that these websites will help me choose which pocket pc works best with the most recent USB add on devices. I have looked on Google for websites like this in the past and I have only found websites on pocket pc compatibility with older devices like 20 gig. external drives. I just started learning about pocket pcs and have onle now decided that I want to get one. So I will have to be vague in my questions about them. All I know for now is, I want a pocket pc that I can easily expand and expand easily with more current devices and accurate drivers. I will try to find out more specific information about pocket pcs and ask more accurate information about them in the future. Thanks for all the help so far.
