PDA and WiFi

I just installed a Linksys wireless router at home, as well as a Linksys CF WiFi card for my Axim. While the Axim finds the network ok, I can't seem to do anything with it (ie: surf the net, synch with my pc, etc.). I thought this would all work on the default settings, but I am obviously wrong about that. I would really appreciate some advice!

There are a few things that you can check off the top of my head.

If you go to Start->Settings, go to the "Connections" page, then tap the "Connections" icon, is the bottom setting ("My Network Card Connects To:") set to "Work" or "The Internet"?

If is is set to "Work", if you modify the "Work Settings" page, proxy settings, there is a checkbox that says "This network connects to the internet".

So, you can make sure that the network card is set to connect to "the internet"; however, in order to do WiFi ActiveSync, the network card must be set to "Work" for some reason. If you need to do WiFi ActiveSync, as long as the work settings are set so that the network connects to the internet, you shoud be all set as well.
