Just wondering if any other users out there have an ipaq using the 400mhz Xscale cpu.

Can you relate, any input: When downloading various programs they usually ask you what type of cpu you have i.e., MIPS/ARM/SH?

I use to have a 3800 it had a StrongArm cpu, that i knew.
But if i have a 3900 now should i be trying to download a different version of programs?
Am i doing alright by continuing to download ARM version programs.

Anybody out there?

You are correct in downloading the ARM version of software. I too have bought a H3900 series iPAQ, so far all my software has worked, and every thing I've read has said that too. So keep enjoying that new iPAQ.

Greetings;

I have read that the Xscale processors can run programs built for the ARM and Xscale processor. So either type will work.

thanks for the inputs, i just found out that the new Xscale cpu is actually a beefed up ARM processor with more ondie cache and built with a 0.13 micron process and uses less power to operate
