Hello all,

I have two PDA's that i use on a daily basis. I have a Sony Nx70V and a Toshiba e570.

With the Sony i also have a Sony WL100 CF WiFi card. Sony actually have two 'versions' of this card, i.e. the WL100 and the
WL110 card. Essentially the WL110 card is a card manufactured by Sony where the WL100 was manufactured by someone else and re-branded as a Sony Card.

The WL110 is the 'current' version of their WiFi card however the WL100 is th better of the two.

I've been told that with the WL100 card you can actually use Intel drivers to use on any Pocket PC, Laptop, PC in addition to the Sony.

I've been given a site where i can download the relevant drivers:

Desktop driver: http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scripts-df/Product_Filter.asp?ProductID=450

PPC driver: http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scripts-df/download.asp?url=/3982/eng/IntelPROWireless2011BLANCFCard.exe&ProductID=846

My question is:

I have downloaded the driver for the PPC and i cannot get WiFi to work. It seens that the Toshiba recognises the card but i think i need the software to tell it what network to run, etc.....

Is all of this making sense?

Anyone have any idea to get this thing to work on my Toshiba?

Any help would be most appreciated !

No,

The e570 does not have Wifi built in. You are thinking of the e750.

Similar numbers ;)

Well now I feel silly! Is this your home network you're trying to connect to? If so, after installing the software on your handheld, make sure that you make the SSID on the 570 (your router's name) the same as the router's. As a matter of fact, everything must match. Also choose "let the server assign IP address". I've never used public wi-fi, so I'm not sure how it works. Good luck
