Whilst preparing for a recent trip - first holiday abroad in a very long time - I came across a "packing list" that I used to use in the days before Psions came into my life. Even I was amazed at how many items I could instantly cross off, because the Psion now performs their function:

Clock
Diary
Dictionaries
Address book
Crossword book
Wordfinder
Maps
Novels
Notebook
Travel Scrabble
Patience cards
Hotel and restaurant guide
Cuddly toy - no, delete that - that's the one thing it can't replace! ;)

You all know this, of course, but it did kinda bring it home to me. Then my mother walked in and said to me "Goodness dear, surely you're not taking that computer thing with you?"
