Setup HC4600 on 2000 Pro - first timer

I have an HC4600 that we do not have CD's for. I need to connect it to my pc (2000 pro - serial cable) but I cannot determine what software needs to be setup on my desktop for it to work.

Anyone with the correct info please post instructions.

You need ActiveSync from Microsoft. It can be downloaded at no cost. Try this site: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/search.aspx?displaylang=en&categoryid=8
or check the microsoft.com Download Center. It should work well for you with the exception of the Outlook "Notes" application. You may have noticed that application is not included in the Windows CE versions used by the Mobilons. A substitute, "HPC Notes" is available as an add-on software from http://www.phatware.com. It works very well; in fact, it will work from within ActiveSync once loaded! Try their demo version to see if it suits your purposes. The only other issue may be the serial cable connection with Windows 2000. You might need to adjust some of your PC's settings to properly configure the serial port. Or, ActiveSync may take care of that as part of the installation process the first time you run it. I have a laptop with Windows 2000 but only connect my Mobilon to a desktop PC running Windows 98 - with no communication problems. Good luck!
