won't allow me to hotsyncHotsync

I tried to hotsync on our family computer and the prompt came up to select the user name....My name wasn't there. What the heck happened and what do I do??


I really don't want to uninstall....etc..etc.. and go through that all over...

I'm not quite sure what the problem is here.

Just create a new account in Palm Desktop with the name you are using with your Palm. Everything should be transferred over upon your first HotSync operation.

My name on the palm is my regular, i used that on th desktop software, the desktop erased my acount somehow and I am unable to hotsync on that computer. I try to put the SAME name in that I had before and it comes with an error that says "this name is illegal." What can I do??

the first one was no use to me since I cannot get into the palm desktop software itself and be able to do that.. On the second one, do you want me to choose one of the links to uninstall it their way??
