There have been a number of reports about the pin in the IQue's AC adapter socket breaking off. I'm planning a trip and I'd hate to have this happen while on the go.

So, firtst I bought this:

Then I bought this:

For international use, add a-US-to foreign AC plug adapter.

Now I can charge your IQue from:

1. Car cigarette lighter

2. Airline inflight power outlet

3. AC 90 - 240 volts anywhere in the world

4. Any computer with a USB port (Not a non-powered hub) and hotsync at the same time.

The connector that goes to the IQue is the Palm Universal connector.

I've been using this setup for a week with no problems. The connector will pull out of the IQue if you pull on it, but that may be a good thing.

I use it with the IQue lying flat on the desk, rather than in the cradle.

Addendum:

Some airlines may require this:

What connects to the
2. Airline inflight power outlet?

I also bought the Belkin connector at Best Buys.

I have a caveat about the auto adapter. It is designed to make electrical contact ONLY when the metal tip is fully compressed. Since this is a spring mounted tip, it must be forced into the lighter tube. This makes the connection "***" on many cars with a smooth tube, like my Camaro.

I bought a Radio Shack 270-1561 three outlet adapter. The two outer plug holes allow the Belkin plug to lock into place. This assures a good electrical connection.
3 plug outlet (http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=CTLG&category%5Fname=CTLG%5F009%5F001%5F002%5F002&product%5Fid=270%2D1561)

I avoided the Belkin after seeing warnings about the Belkin's Palm connector, and bought the genuine Palm cable instead (that's what my original URL points to). I've used it a number of times in my car with no problems.

As for the airline power, the ones I've used will take a standard cigarette lighter plug.

However, it seems that some use a different connector, so add this to the kit:

Thanks for the heads-up on this. You saved me some possible heartache down the road.
