I have Clie NR70.
I am having a range of problems with my Clie and am wondering anyone else has had these problems and know of any solutions.
Playback of MP3's from the MS seems to be as dodgy as playback of CD's used to be in portable CD players about 5 years ago. The slightest amount of pressure on the MS cabinet causes the playback to stop and the album to be reloaded at the best of times. Some of the time the Clie refuses to recognies the fact that MS has been inserted.
The other problem that keeps occuring on a regular basis is that a "Handheld Error is reported". The error string in this popup window reads "The startup application could not be found for this MS". Once you click on OK (the only button available) the album on the MS is reloaded and you may be able to resume playback if you are lucky. Sometimes a reset is required.
I am hoping against hope that this is not a hardware problem. But it seems very likley from all other posts I have read that the MS hardware is dodgy to say the least in this Clie model.
The software on my clie is the standard MP3 player that comes with the Clie and I have updated my audio playback libraries as per those provided by Sony on thier Web Site.
HELP!!
