I'm looking for a Bible reader for the 5810, or any Blackberry. I just moved from a Palm i705 and there are several good Bible reader programs for the Palm OS, as well as WCE, Pocket PC, etc. but I cannot locate one for the Blackberry. Does anyone know where I might find one?
thanks,
randy

"Palm like" applications are not BlackBerry's strong suit - particular the 5810. There are a few more applications for the 957, but they have not been ported to the 5810. I have not seen any Bible readers (or any other readers) for any BB. Have you checked on www.handango.com?

Thanks for the info. I did check out Handango and the 5810 specific applications are few. I had assumed that something written for the 957 would work on the 5810. Is that not true?

randy,
Your assumption is indeed untrue. The 957 apps are written in C++, and apps for the 5810 are in J2ME.
Just a thought, a Gideon NT with Psalms and Proverbs isn't that much bigger than a BlackBerry ;-)

there are a few useful WAP bibles that you could try. www.wap3.tv is one that works.
plus you could try www.biblegateway.com
it sucks if you don't have unlimited use of the BlackBerry. But it works well if you don't mind the wait. The benefit of this approach of using the Bible on a BlackBerry vs. PalmOS is that you don't use any internal memory to store huge Bible files. And you have virtually unlimited access to many different translations.
