I just got a Cassiopeia PV-400Plus. Although it didn't come with the user's manual, I've pretty much figured the thing out, and managed to sync with my desktop PC. Now I'm wondering if there are any useful (or entertaining) programs that I can get for my device. I haven't seen any on download.com that are made specifically for the 400+.

To the best of my knowledge there are very few of these units that you can add programs to. You can go to casios site and snoop around - I haven't looked for quite awhile, but it was not supposed to be able to accept other programs, but they found that some would.

That is all I know. I use one in my shirt as my scheduler etc. and love it as it is. Have others for the other goodies :-)

Oh, the irony... I have a H/PC (LG Phenom H-120CW16) that can install programs but I don't have the serial cable for it, and I have the Cassiopeia that has the serial cable but can't install programs.

Casio is a real rip of a company. I purchased one of their BE300 units and had it maybe four months and ordered an extra flip cover as the one it comes with is pretty flimsey. Not available - they are still selling the product and they can't supply the most breakable part!

Did you look on Casio's Partner page I think it is that lists some other companies that sell parts for their units. I ordered a cable for another Casio I have and they couldn't supply that either, but did find a cable at one of the independant companies - paid through the nose but got it. They might carry some of the other companies parts.

I may have three of their products, but not another.

First of all let me clarify that Pocket Viewer (PV-xxxx)are not Caassiopeias in the literal sense. They are simply more advanced digital diaries. They share nothing with PPC, PocketPC or HPC.

They are categorised as Cassiopeias only in the US market. For the rest of the world they are simply "PV"s.

Please visit www.pocket-viewer.com for all your PV related questions, problems & software.

Across the world - except in USA - Casio Techno is an independent after sales support & warranty handling division of Casio Computer company which is a the main marketing company. They have their own centres & parts vendors spread across different territories.

Quite a wide range of items which are normally supplied within the package are also available from the parts division. In fact this should be the preferred source for you.

If a part is not available it is the fault of the authorised parts dealer not Casio.

My orders were with Casio - they didn't have parts - they couldn't get parts - that is their fault. Glad to hear their service centers might have some - will dig around and see if I can find one.

thanks for the addresses, but the sales/service looked like just accessories - did email them just in case.

The world one just gets me back to the usual casio site where I've already contacted.

Still need to hit some of their service centers to see what I can scare up.

thanks again
