unlocking "locked" files

I recently went to "clean house" on my Clie and noticed that A LOT of the apps I put on won't delete becuase they are "locked"

Any idea why they do this (lock themselves) and what can be done to get rid of them shy of a complete "restart" on the clie

Please Try to WarmReset before Delete.

Press Page-Up (up button) ... and Hold it.

Reset

Wait until you can see Palm LOGO
then release Page-Up

....

Try to Delete that program.

Go to www.nosleep.net and download FILEZ, a utility program that allows you, for one thing, to delete and beam (!) locked programs. It is free.

It also allows easier access to both your internal and MS files (easier than msgate)

Thank you for your suggestions. The warmreset did the trick and I will also try out that program.
