Is it possible to get any tech info on the m130? I want to put the good battery from my new m130 into my old, dead one to see if that fixes the problem. Had trouble taking case off the old one and want to make sure I'm doing it right. Also, not sure how to get the battery out. I don't imagine Palm makes this type of info available, does it?

PDAparts.com has a wealth of information on this subject - see detailed instructions here (http://********hightech.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=GHT&Category_Code=_m130_takeapart).

Quite right. PDAPARTS.COM has a link with pictures and directions on disassembly. Look down the left side for "Repair Directions & Video" and then look for your Palm (m130) down the center and click on the "E" icon to the right. From there you should see the pictures and directions.
Good luck.:)

Thanks for the help. How did I ever get along with this forum? Oh, that's right. I screwed up all the time.

Just curious if you have had any luck with you broken Palm? If so, what fixed it?

Well, to be honest, I've only ordered the screwdriver. Got it open, but am afraid to mess with my "good" one. I mean, if I mess it up then I won't have one at all and can't afford a replacement. So, I'm waiting a bit and will order a mobo for the old one. Would rather "waste" $35 than break something that'd cost me $250 to replace.

Was out of work for 8 mos. & just got a job part-time, so I'm very concerned about spending $$!

Thanks for your help. When I *do* order the mobo & get it installed, I'll let you know how it works.

Same thing happens to me occasionally. You have to use the "reset" hole on the back. Just use the end of an opened paperclip and it'll reset fine.

We now have NO unopened paperclips in the house!

Another really good solution is to download one of the many programs that Automatically rest Palms when they Crash, I am currently using one called "Crash" from http://www.79bmedia.com

I now have a lot more unopened paper clips....also, the spring out of failing 3.5" disks work great to hit that reset button.
