A Hitachi G1000 Snap-On Lens Cover Accessory is Now Available!
They say that necessity is the mother of all invention. As you all know, the camera lense of the Hitachi G1000 is very prone to damage since it is always exposed. Scratch it and your photographing days are over. The lens is not user repairable. A coin or key in your pocket can easily cause serious damage.
While some may choose to use the leather case to solve this problem, I felt like the unit was too big already and I wanted to keep it in my pocket. The case makes this impossible to do. Also, I found that the bulky case was uncomfortable against my ear and made pushing the red, green and speaker buttons difficult.
I have taken it upon myself to invent a snap on G1000 lens cover that solves the problem. It is a black piece of perfectly contoured plastic with extruding male clips that snap perfectly into the horizonal female ridges of your rotating lens. (See illustrating photo).
Small, lightweight, inobtrusive, durable, and easy to snap on and off, I am offering it for sale for only $7. This includes all shipping and handling.
