I have posted here an SOS yesterday as my Pasion (Mako) died.

As I am not yet out of that terrible ditch (...!!!) - I would like to share one other point (and seek advise too):

Over a year ago I bought 4 MAKOs. Each one of them has developed the same problem - a breaking retaining spring in the battery compartment (front left).

True one can operate the Mako (Psion) without that spring, but on two ocasions the spring might have actually shortened the battery/IR charging/Tx small PC board... and:

1. It is not easy to remove the broken parts (main problem, is removing the thin metal decal... which by this time I have prefected....)

2. Why wouldn't Psion reinforce the plastic mold at the point of the break ? - (mechanically speaking it wouldn't be difficult to do) and offer us a replacement part - for a fee...

3. I wonder - if I had 4 out of 4 broken (yes - I have been very gentle with the unit...!), I wonder what statistics is there for the entire population of usres in regard to this specific mechanical failure.

4. Could someone buy from Psion & sell these back-bottom plastic parts to us ? (I would buy 8.... now....!!).

Any comments - suggestions, fixes, thoughts, ideas... ??
