Hi,

I am having problems viewing pages via infrared modem connection to my Nokia 6210 from my iPaq 3850 running PocketPC2002.

I used to own a 37xx iPaq and this was working fine. I have setup the connection correctly for Orange.net in the Connections->Settings->Internet Settings. I confirmed the settings on the Orange web site. When I connect via infrared, everything seems ok - i.e. after about 20 seconds the connection dialog says "Connected OK". However any attempt to view a page in IE brings up the message "Page not available".

I confused as I'm sure on my old 37xx iPaq when you try to connect to your ISP you are asked for a username/password for authentication - but on my new iPaq it doesn't ask me and I can' find anywhere to enter it!?

Does anyone know where I'm going wrong or where the settings are for entering my username/password?

That message occurs whenever a page or frame attempts an action that is not supported by the PIE such as popups.

What about the ASP, PHP, and other dynamic pages ... can they be viewed in PIE, too?

I've been trying to browse to Yahoo!, including Y! Mail, but I've been able to browse only Yahoo!'s front page.

I have not had too many problems surfing Yahoo. Try installing Microsoft Internet Explorer Tools for Pocket PCs --
http://www.microsoft.com/mobile/pocketpc/downloads/powertoys.asp. It's the only other PIE add-in I've installed besides MultiIE -- http://www.zipworld.com.au/~peterept/.

This sounds like the problem I was having before I installed the PIE high encryption pack. I think this up'd the encryption level to 128bit. Try that.

I am also have similar problems viewing certian pages with PIE for example I can't login to MSN mobile, a Page not found error occures.

Could this be a problem with PIE ?

Other pages load o.k

I connect with a Nokia 6210 and a Casio EM500:(
