Trying to decide on whether to buy the 1935 or 1945 iPaq.

All I want to do is easily sync with Mac, which is Bluetooth enabled. My home and office are both 802.11 enabled...

So is it better to buy the 1945 and just use the Bluetooth connection for syncing and internet...

Or should I buy the 1935 and get the SanDisk 802.11 SD card for it??

This is a confusing issue for me... can you sync over an 802.11 connection?

The problem is NOT sync over 802.11, the problem is you are using a Mac. Pocketpc requires Activesync from Microsoft to sync (and network sync), but there is no Activesync for Mac os. There are some 3rd party software to help you sync your pocketpc with Mac (see this thread)

But I'm not sure if these program support network sync, you might want to contact them directly.

I've got the missing sync already... they're a little vague about network syncing...

I know for a fact I could do it with Bluetooth... so I assume there is a way to do it over an 802.11 connection as well...

OS X also runs with Rendevous. The 'zero-setup' networking software... so although my laptop has no bluetooth, I do have an Airport card - and anyone in my radius with an 802.11 card (mac or windows) can connect with me and chat/transfer files... we don't actually need a WAP to do so...

I guess that was more my question... thanks for the suggestion though...

The other thing you might want to try is finding a MAC forum and see if MAC guru's can help you out.

To answer this question this way: yes, you can definitely sync with Activesync to a Windows computer over WiFi. I do it every once in a while when the kids are using the home PC, and we just bought our first AP at work, and can do it there as well.

I really do not know if it will work with any third party Mac connection products.
