Remote ActiveSync

I've searched high and low for a guide on how to setup Remote ActiveSync for my iPAQ 3870 and only found the out-dated Remote ActiveSync FAQ by Chris De Herrera, http://www.cewindows.net/wce/20/ras.htm.

I have a Wi-Fi enabled iPAQ and would like to sync with my laptop over the internet just like I would in the cradle. Has anyone configured this successfully? Please help.

Thanks for the link...I'm getting warmer, but not there yet.

I followed the instructions on the page as precisely as possible. I successfully connected my iPAQ through a VPN to my laptop. However, when I press the Sync button in ActiveSync, the iPAQ chimes but not the laptop. ActiveSync says "connecting" but never gets beyond that.

Any other tips?
