I took my Tungsten hiking on the West Coast Trail. I used it for a tide calculation program I found so I new what days I could hike on the beach. About halfway through the trip I noticed that the speaker sounded really crappy. It bagged out and went distorted on high volume when listening to music or system sounds.
Long story short, I think I might have ruined the internal speaker. The sound was great before I did the hike and now it sucks. I also still has good sound with headphones. I talked to Palm and they told me to install the audio update which I already had. Anyways, my question is does anybody know where I can buy a new speaker for the Tungsten T? Help!

I've never been inside my Tungsten T (for fear of breaking it!). If you want a replacement speaker however you are obviastly planning on taking it to bits to mend it! Bearing in mind this WILL VOID THE WARRENTY, I'd suggest you take it to bits and check the wire connections before actually purchasing a new speaker.
As far as getting hold of a new speaker goes i'd recommend sending an e-mail to the guys at ********hightech.com as they take palms apart to sell parts.
These are take apart directions for your TT, should you end up taking it apart.
