got an iBook as part of my job. using it mostly for window dressing text (written in netbook) in Office X and iMovie/iTunes. Most of the duty performed by netbook.
netbook still looks fresh after two years of hard usage. no one has matched its utility in the PDA or laptop/notebook sphere.
My only wish is that it would have a full featured word processor that does footnote/end noting and also powerpoint. these two features would keep netbook rolling for at least three to five more years.

It also needs a multi-dimensional spreadsheet compatible with Excel.

A couple more small things that would be nice would be if you could, whilst in email, click on a web address and it would go to it. You have to copy and paste into Opera to get to it. Also if we receive an email and its in html, it won't read it. Hmmmm, I wonder if you could open it in the web browser???
Overall, I think the Netbook is great.
Thanks,
Bobbyr

Also if we receive an email and its in html, it won't read it. Hmmmm, I wonder if you could open it in the web browser??? Some email programs send both text and HTML in which case the HTML is in an attachment called "Attachment" :)
However, if only HTML is sent, the EPOC Email program displays all of the HTML 'garbage'. What you can do, though it's a bit of a pain, is to copy & paste it into a Word file, export the file as text with an .HTM extension and open that with a web browser.
If you retain a lot of messages in the Email Inbox, it is worth from time to time using the Psion's "Find files" to find all files named "Attachment" and delete them as they only use up space needlessly.

Hi
Wow - that would be fantastic as I can't seem to delete the attachments when I "save" the incoming e-mail.
That sounded great and so I did the "find" thing and found 378 files.
I can see no way of selecting them all and deleting them all.
If I "go to" the file and delete it (this looks like it is going to take a long time, right, with 378 files, the folder opens, I delete the file, and then ... that's right ... I have to do the "find" thing again.
I can't see them at all via the desktop (Windows looking at netBook via PsiWin).
Is there a way, do you know, of "selecting all" and deleting?
Thanks everyone
Steve

Is there a way, do you know, of "selecting all" and deleting? Not in the Psion because each "Attachment" file is in its own folder.
I don't know but you might be able to copy your "Mail" folder to the PC, do a search for "Attachment" and delete all the files with that name in the 'Search' dialog box, but this is just a guess. Nothing to lose by trying it as long as you copy rather than move your Mail folder. I don't have any Attachment files to try it as I always delete them ASAP.

Time to download a copy of Macro5 and write a quick keystroke macro that will copy the URL, switch to Opera, open a new window and paste the URL . . . . .

Hi steve Moore
There is an easy way to delete all the "attachment" files or any other specific file name in multiple folders and that it to use the very old yet very effective freeware program JB5Utils By John Boyce. Use the utility in it "find files" and this will allow you to delete them all at once very quickly and easily
