I have a new HP copmuter. When loading my Palm software on to it, I inadvertently loaded my old m100 software. Realizing my mistake, I then loaded my i705 software.
Now I am unable to Hotsync. The Hotsync log tells me it cannot find a MewtonL file, my user name is Lenore Mewton. I have tried changing it to MewtonL with no success.
Help please !

Hope you still have your old computer as that is where all the info on your PDA still resides. You'll need to transfer that file to your new system, then you will open that AFTER you install the new software.
You should first delete the incorrect software completely. Does it have an uninstall with it? Use that if it does. Then you should be able to install the new software and then access your backup file of all your PDA data and you should be back functioning.
Good luck,
Margaret
PS: Only reason I know this is I read the manual with my new PDA before I did anything. Hate to rub it in, but sometimes the manual does have important info -- especially for upgrades or new hardware.

Thanks Margaret, but let me go over the events again.
On my OLD computer I used my m100 Palm pilot and hotsynced successfully.
Then I got my new i705. Loaded the NEW i705 software on to the OLD computer and continued to use and hotsync my NEW i705 successfully.
Then I got my NEW computer, inadvertently loaded the OLD m100 software on it. Found I then couldn't hotsync, realized my mistake. UNINSTALLED the OLD m100 software and then installed the NEW i705 software. Now i was unable to hotsync and get my data into the NEW computer.
All of my data is on my NEW i705 palm pilot, I now want to be able to hotsync it and get the data on my NEW computer.
Although I still have the OLD computer, I don't think transferring the MewtonL file is going to hack it. The directories and files are set up differently on the i705 as compared to the m100 on the computer itself
