Please Help.

I need to buy some extra memory for my Ipaq 3870, but am unsure of the type to buy.

My choices are between: -
512MB SecureDigital Card,
512MB Compact Flash Card and a
2GB PC Card Hard Drive.

Could anyone please advice me as to the best option.
I will be using it run an application with approx 400MB of data.

A major consideration has also to be given to the battery power.

Hope you can help

It all depends on the configuration you are using. Do you have any expansion packs-sleeves? If not (and not planning to buy any) your only option is the secure digital card. If you are planning-willing to buy an expansion pack post a reply and i'll get back to you with your choises then.

I'd advise to get the 512 SD (or at least 256 MB) just because it's extra memory that can be installed more or less permanently without the aid of expansion sleeves.

If you go for the PC card plus sleeve you can use both CF and PCMCIA cards in the sleeve. Most CF products (the IBM Microdrive 1GB, for example) come as a CF+ card with PCMCIA adapter -- just one of those adapters can be used to fit all of your CF's in the PC Card sleeve.

I believe the SD card will also draw less power than either the CF or PC Card.
