Formatting my iQue

Does anyone know how to completely format the iQue? I want to delete everything and do my installs all over. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks...

You'll need to do a couple of things:

Handheld - hold down the power button while pushing in on the reset button on the back. You'll need to hold down the power button until the screen starts to refresh at which time you'll get a screen that says " do you want to delete all data on the handheld Yes = hit the up scroll key No = hit the down scroll key or button. Hit the up scroll button to delete all data from the handheld.

Desktop - go to the Palm directory nested normally in the Program Files folder in windows - locate the backup directory which is normally under the SR directory. Rename this directory to "backupold" and then create a new directory called backup to replace this renamed version.

The above process will prevent any software from loading into the Que on the first hot sync but will allow you to pick any software that you might still want to add later from this backupold directory.

Be advised that any software registration data may be lost during the above process so if there is software that you purchased recently and you want to add it - be certain to have those serial or registration numbers handy.

You do not need to reinstall the desktop software. You can now sync - the first sync after such a reset should ask you for the user name when initiating hot sync.
