The Samsung I600 is coming to Verizon so it will be compatible with Sprint too. Whether this phone comes to Sprint remains to be seen. Check it out:

I called Verizon and Samsung today asking about the i600. The Verizon rep told me to put one on order early, but they still are not available. When I called Samsung, it sounded like they are still in testing. I don't think they will be available anytime soon.

I did get an i700 to try out. It seems to work pretty well. The Pocket PC 2002 OS is alot easier to use than Palm OS. The i700 also comes with Microsoft Outlook compatible software that works with Microsoft Exchange. It also comes with a builtin PPTP connection setting, so you don't have to by any additional software to use IMAP to get your email through a VPN. Most Palm based software is only for POP3 mail and you have to buy additional software to access a VPN. The only problem with the i700 is that it's big and PDA like, instead of being small and Phone like. I give the i700 a thumbs up for functionality, but a thumbs down for size and convenience.

Did you try out the media player on the I700? Did you play some stereo music on it? I agree with you about the size of the I700. The size of the I600 is much more compact. Now, here's the real test. Can you access your Verizon account from the I700's browser? See how many minutes you used? If you can do that with the I700, consider keeping it!
