I was thinking about getting a spare SD Card to backup my handheld's files. I would put this extra SD Card aside so that if my palm was ever lost or stolen, I could easily restore my files on a new handheld. If I use BackupBuddy VFS, can I do this (files backed-up on one handheld and restored on another)?

I would not expect this to be a problem, as I have repeatedly used my BackUpBuddy files on my card to restore my Palm after a hard reset, and the Palm is just like a new one after this, needs new name etc.
I plan to get a new Palm running OS5, when I visit the states in february and I plan to revive it at once using my cardbackup.

Don't know much about cards (IIIc User) but if you backup to your PC it works for sure.
